Reflection

The three sculptures visually communicate aspects of being different in one's individuality.
While exploring the materials to build the sculptures, I wanted to focus on using different amounts of ink because of the progression between each sculpture.
I decided to include the negative space on Sculpture #2 to not only bring more attention to the piercing point but to also make the top appear more pointy.
I felt that Sculpture #1 was lacking the mending idea so I added broken pieces of hardened wood glue around the sculpture.

I want to keep exploring identity as a central theme in my work.
I want to learn more about working with ink in different ways.
This piece allowed me to explore how to use skeleton skin techniques and wire.
The making of this work exposed new ideas such as the dynamism of identity.
